Dr. Fortson is a Georgia native with over 40 years of experience in the medical field. He has extensive experience in Pancreatic Disease, Liver Disease and Esophageal Disorders.

After officially retiring in 2021, Dr. Fortson has returned to the field that he loves so much to work part time with Southeastern Gastroenterology. While Dr. Fortson will see patients in the office and do procedures in our Endoscopy Center, he will not round on patients in the hospital. If hospitalized, the other talented members of our team will take great care of you
